A 92 year-old man went to the Doctor to get a physical. A few days later the Dr. saw the man walking down the street with a gorgeous young lady on his arm.
A couple of days later the Dr. talked to the man and said, "You're really doing great, aren't you?"
The man replied, "Just doing what you said Doctor, 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful."
The Doctor said, "I didn't say that. I said you got a heart murmur. Be careful."
Edison patentsIn 1914, three patents related to a “"Phonograph-Reproducer” were issued to Thomas A. Edison (U.S. Nos. 1,099,346; -8) and also a patent for a “Method of Making Sound-Record Molds” (No.1,099,349). The phonograph reproducers were designed to have an improved mounting for the stylus lever to provide the necessary freedom of movement in tracking the grooves of a sound record. To allow the stylus to better follow the contour of the record groove, its mounting allowed movement in both vertical and transverse directions. The design consisted of various combinationd of a diaphragm, a floating weight, a stylus on a movement-amplifying lever and a sound box body. The method of making sound-record molds dealt with the manufacturing process of the pressing of flat disk records.« |
