Joke Of The Day

Right baby

A Brit, a Welsh fellow, and a Pakistani gentleman were seated in the waiting area of a local hospital's maternity ward.

A nurse appears and informs the men, "Apologies, but we have encountered a mix-up, and we're unsure which baby belongs to which mother. Could any of you assist in figuring this out?"

The British man rises to the occasion and offers his help. He enters the ward and, after a short while, emerges holding a baby who is clearly of Pakistani descent. The Pakistani man stands up, exclaiming, "What do you think you're doing?!"

To which the British man replies, "Look, one of those babies is Welsh, I'm not taking any chances!"

Kennewick Man skull discovery

In 1996, the skull of prehistoric Kennewick Man was found beside the Columbia River in Kennewick, Washington. Further archaeological digging uncovered bones of an almost complete skeleton, about 9,000 years old. As one of the very few specimens available to understand the peopling of America in that era, it offered great value to science. However, the land on which it was found was under the supervision of the U.S. Corps of Engineers which planned to repatriate the relics when local Indian tribes laid claim to them as being remains of an ancestor. Eight scientists sued to have access to the bones for research. The court found in their favour, saying the prehistoric age of the remains did not meet the legal definition covered by the Act which governs the return of more modern Indian remains.«
