Sir (Walter) Norman Haworth

Died 19 Mar 1950 at age 67 (born 19 Mar 1883).Sir Walter Norman Haworth was an English chemist who shared(with the Swiss chemist Paul Karrer) the 1937 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his work in determining the chemical structures of various carbohydrates and the synthesis of vitamin C (1934), which was the first artificial preparation of any vitamin.
