Viagra FDA approval

[np] In 1998, Sildenafil citrate (marketed as Viagra) was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Viagra was the first oral pill to treat impotence, a dysfunction affecting millions of men in the U.S. It was patented by, and is manufactured by Pfizer Phamaceuticals, New York, N.Y. Viagra is reported to be its sixth-biggest drug product, with annual sales of about $2 billion. It subsequently lost its monopolu on the treatment when Eli Lilly released the longer acting drug Cialis. In Canada, the patent was invalidated on 8 Nov 2012 by the Canadian Supreme Court for being too vague in its Canadian patent filing, by failing to meet adequate disclosure obligations on the active ingredient. That patent had been challenged by the world's largest generic drug maker, the Israeli-based Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Ltd.«

Wishful thinking

A wife went to the police station with her next-door neighbor to report that her husband was missing. The policeman asked for a description.

She said, "He's 35 years old, 6 foot 4, has dark eyes, dark wavy hair, an athletic build, weighs 185 pounds, is soft-spoken, and is good to the children."

The next-door neighbor protested, "Your husband is 5 foot 4, chubby, bald, has a big mouth, and is mean to your children."

The wife replied, "Yes, but who wants HIM back?"
