Robert HofstadterDied 17 Nov 1990 at age 75 (born 5 Feb 1915).American scientist who was a joint recipient of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1961 for his investigations in which he measured the sizes of the neutron and proton in the nuclei of atoms.
